Maui Snorkeling Map
- This is a map of some of Maui's
favorite snorkeling spots. They are all on the West side
of the island because that's where the water is
generally safer. When North swells come in, it is best
to snorkel at the southern locations, i.e. numbers 7
through 15. During South swells, numbers 1 through 6 are
best. Generally, ocean swells come from the North in the
Winter and South in the Summer. This isn't always the
case so the best course is to check with the locals when
you get to Maui for the latest report.

"Hula is the language of the heart
and therefore the heartbeat
of the Hawaiian people."
~ David (Kâwika) La`amea Kalâkaua,
King of Hawai`i, 1874 to 1891
The little details that one pays little attention to are just as
important as the major ones. Although the attention is given to
the dancer, the drummer and chanter play an important role in
the dance.
Come together for a fun time and bring whatever you have to add
to the fun. There is a play on "lewa", which refers to the
swinging of the hips in hula.
" ALOHA "
Aloha: is more than a word of greeting or farewell or a
salutation.
Aloha: means mutual regard and affection and extends warmth in
caring with no obligation in return.
Aloha: is the essence of relationships in which each person is
important to every other person for collective existence.
Aloha: means to hear what is not said, to see what cannot be
seen and to know the unknowable.
